Not having a 2021 class for the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame to celebrate this month gives the Walton College the opportunity to look back at the legacy of the hall of fame and to remember our first class honored in 1999.

Today we celebrate Charles Murphy Jr., who built Murphy Oil into one of the world’s most successful and respected companies but also left a legacy that spoke to his deep devotion to lifelong learning.

Watch for these stories and others to be displayed on our homepage at walton.uark.edu and on our Walton Magazine page as we celebrate the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame throughout February.

Remember, you can nominate business leaders to be members of the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame. Just go to walton.uark.edu/abhf/ where you will find how to nominate and the criteria for hall of fame honorees.
