The Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Arkansas will host its Quarterly Business Analysis luncheon on May 27 to review the economy and prospects for the nation, state and Northwest Arkansas region. Registration is now open.

“The program will take a look at new economic data for the nation, Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas, inflation and the Federal Reserve’s change in monetary policy stance, the effect of yield curve inversions and the lingering effects of the pandemic and Russian invasion of Ukraine,” said Mervin Jebaraj, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at the Sam M. Walton College of Business. “As the national and state economy grows through these challenges, timely economic information is vital to good business and policy decision making.”

Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 1325 North Palak Drive in Fayetteville. Attendees may network with other Northwest Arkansas community leaders before the program begins at noon. The presentation will last approximately 60 minutes, including time for questions and answers.

The cost of the luncheon program is $50. Pre-registration by Friday, May 20, is required. Those interested can register at cber.uark.edu or by calling 479-575-4151.

The Quarterly Business Analysis program builds networks of leaders from business, academic and governmental sectors in the region while addressing business highlights of the previous quarter, key economic trends and projections and immediate and long-term issues facing the regional and state economy.
